This Valentine's Day was BEAUTIFUL. It was a gorgeous day in the city, so after checking out of our hotel (sadness), we decided to eat at Marnee Thai on 9th and Irving. Everyone and their mom had been telling me about this place so we finally tried it and it totally lived up to the hype. We had the Satay Wraps and the Pad Thai which were my favorites from the place, although everyone had been hyping up the Angel Wings. They were good too but the Satay Wraps kicked the Angel Wings' ass. And I tried regular hot Thai Tea which is now my new favorite drink. For dessert, we walked up a couple blocks to Tart to Tart and tried their Pear Almond Tart. I have to say, this is the perfect spring time dessert. It's not too rich or too sweet, and the pear wasn't too... tart. After devouring the whole thing, we decided to take a slice of the Mixed Fruit Tart and the Mixed Fruit Cheesecake to go (for consumption later).

Afterwards we decided to go up to Twin Peaks and enjoy the view of the Bay from there, snap some pics, and then decided to drive around aimlessly just to see the cool sights and sounds of the city in areas we never really ventured in. Two things for sure: 1. need to have a picnic at Dolores Park, 2. Try that ice cream spot that had a fat line going around the block near Doloros Park. Then went to Berkeley for the best looking flowers around for Irwin's mom. We were going to watch Valentine's Day, but by then we were both exhausted. Stayed home and curled up to 2012.. which was.. a ridiculous movie. Scary to think about the world ending in 2 years. Anyway, wonderful weekend overall.. we didn't want it to end. We ate so much though this weekend, we went for a walk after I got off work, and I think I need to go for a run tomorrow.

Irwin: We've been eating like it's a fooding marathon!
Me: But it's a HOLIDAY!!

Thank you again honey.. Best weekend ever ^_^

Are you talking about Bi-Rite? Dude. You need to make that your #1. No, I'm serious. And make sure you order (or at least try) the salted caramel. It's my favorite there! That place is dangerous on a sunny day because you're right - there is a line for days. Just down the street is also that bakery Tartine that ALSO has a line for days, even on rainy days.

Glad your Vday was so awesome.

Tiffany: Thanks lady! Yes that Thai place was awesome, the next time you're up in the bay you definitely should go there!
