Giant's Game

Last Wednesday was the company's "Day at the Ballpark", where they treated us to a Giant's game, complete with a tailgate BBQ before the game. Yummy BBQ and the SF cold.. which eventually turned warm so it ended up being a lovely day!

My laptop is on the fritz (read:memory disk is full, and now i'm backing up any and everything to my external hard drive). So now I'm on the computer Irwin built me, yes built, from scratch, granted it's a PC but I have 2 freaking huge monitors that are AWESOME. I love him.

So, 2 days down on my diet/exercise/reading. I feel FABULOUS. It's amazing. I was always against counting calories, but now I have this thing from where I can track the food I eat. It even had ENSAIMADA, how awesome is that. Anyway, so tracking my calories is great, and I've found that I haven't been hungry.

Went running in the intense heat yesterday and ended up with some gnarly tan lines but it was worth it. I'm completely sore but it's the good kind of sore. My arms are sore too.. Gotta build muscle and I know my arms are the weakest part of my body.

Then today went for a walk with Irwin since he pulled something while weight lifting yesterday. It was a lovely today, not as hot, and we haven't gone for a walk in a good long while.

Anyway, wanted to post some pics from the weekend before I go to bed.

Happy to be getting my Green Tea Frap w/ Boba from Boba Loca. Yum.

At Redondo Beach waiting for the yummy crab.

The arcade at Redondo Beach hasn't changed since I was 9.

So excited when I found cotton candy.

Richie was excited about his Churro.

wouldn't it be nice...

My goal(s) for today/tomorrow/the next 2 months:

1. quit smoking
2. go running
3. go on a diet
4. have abs of steel
5. start/finish all the books on my list:
a. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - Stieg Larsson
b. The girl who Played with Fire - Stieg Larsson
c. The Angel's Game - Carlos Ruiz Zafon
d. What is the What - Dave Eggers
e. Kafka on the Shore - Haruki Murakami
f. The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle - Haruki Murakami
g. Motherless Brooklyn - Jonathan Lethem

I'm currently reading "Into the Wood" by Tana French. So far, its super addicting, but I believe it's causing me to have a restless night's sleep. It's extremely creepy, but I love the way it's written. It's not verbose at all which is always a good thing, but it's written differently than a lot of other suspense novel's I've read. I picked this up at Target while I was back home hanging out with my bro.. and its a New York Times Bestseller so I knew it had to be good.

So Cal picks to be posted soon.

I miss my dog.

I can't believe it's finally Sunday. The weekend just flew by, but it was good times all around.

Friday, went to Mercury for our monthly design crew hangout. Never been to Mercury but its definitely a spot I want to visit often. Good service, good company, good music. Basically any place that plays Musiq SoulChild is a good place to me. Had fun with Uri playing dress up at her apartment before we met up with everyone else. Hair, accessories, and make up galore!

in Uri's car waiting for the cab to arrive

loving Uri's new haircut

half of our design class
Uri got squished into the corner with the triangle chair
somehow we all fit into this tiny corner room..

Tee, Mossimo (Uri's); Bra, Silence and Noise Corset Bra; Bracelet, Aldo (Uri's), Jeans, Bubblegum

Saturday night we went to Zebulon for Vlad's birthday. Awesomeness and drinking all over the place. I always love when all 3 brothers are in town.

Girl Crush

This girl is just so beautiful to me. She really does look like an angel.

And it helps that I love what she's wearing.

I have been on the hunt for some cute ankle booties for a few months now and these are absolute perfection. Hrmm.. Maybe I can find some similar looking suede booties and DIY the studs... that sounds amazing to me right now.

On another note, I have discovered my new DIY project until I find those perfect ankle booties:
